In 2018 I made the decision MAYB | TMRW would add an automated press to improve our production capacity and consistency for detail. An automatic screen printing press isn’t the one all miracle machine that allows us to kick our feet up and talk about the weather while some incredible robot takes care of all the work. We now spend far more time dialing in the settings so when we hit go, the 10,000th shirt is printed exactly like the 1st shirt.

Taking the plunge into an automatic screen printing press was something I dreamt about since I first picked up a squeegee in 2006. I am a perfectionist in everything I do. As a result, I have been engraining this into every aspect of our business. Manually printing by hand is great but, it’s also not easy to make sure every print is exactly the same quality. Printer fatigue is real after hand printing a couple hundred shirts. I hated heading home after work feeling too tired to spend time with my family. I didn’t want that, I wanted it all, everything from quantity, to perfect prints, to feeling great off the clock. So, gaining an automatic press in our shop doesn’t only allow us to crush great prints, it allows my team to head home feeling physically great after a day of printing 3,000 bags.
